Westfield Memorial Pool: Membership, Waitlist and Guest Passes

If you want to join Westfield Memorial Pool next summer, start with the official waitlist and register only once per household. Memberships sold out for 2026. The town is directing prospective members to the waitlist for the following season, with offers based on availability and the order people joined.
As a dad of two young daughters, I understand how much planning goes into a family’s summer. Getting the pool process right now is one less thing to untangle when the weather turns warm. The key is to separate three things: joining the waitlist, receiving a membership offer and buying a guest pass.
Information checked October 29, 2026. The 2026 swim season has ended. The official pages reviewed still list 2026 prices and dates; those are not confirmed 2027 rates or opening dates.
How do I join the Memorial Pool waitlist?
Start on the official Memorial Pool page and follow the waitlist link into the town’s recreation registration system. Use the account you’ll be able to access again when membership offers are issued.
- Check whether your household is already registered. Look at your CivicRec transaction history or call Recreation before submitting another registration.
- Register one household member once. The town specifically warns that duplicate registration can remove your previous place in line.
- Keep your confirmation and contact details. Save the registration record so you can find it later.
- Watch for an offer from Recreation. Joining the list is the first step; an offer depends on availability.
The town’s registration instructions make clear that adding more members of the same household does not improve its chances. If you’re unsure whether a registration went through, call 908-789-4080 instead of starting over.
When will I hear about a membership?
The pool homepage describes waitlist releases beginning in early March. Treat that as the town’s published process, not a guaranteed offer date for your household or a confirmed 2027 deadline. Check your account and the current season’s instructions as spring approaches.
The town’s pages describe both mailed offer packets and email notifications. Keeping your mailing address and email current is a practical way to avoid missing either. Recreation can answer questions about your registration; this website cannot check your place in line.
Who can become a member?
Both Westfield residents and non-residents can join Memorial Pool. The town offers several membership categories, including individual, couple, parent/child, family and senior memberships. Eligibility and prices vary by category and residency.
The pool’s membership FAQ explains who can be included in a family membership. Children under 3 at the start of the season are free, but still need to be listed on the family account. Full-time college students can qualify under specified age and documentation rules. Check those rules before choosing a category, particularly when a child is approaching an age cutoff.
How much does Memorial Pool membership cost?
For a sense of the most recently published prices, these are selected 2026 seasonal rates from the official fee schedule:
| Membership | Resident | Non-resident |
|---|---|---|
| Individual, age 12 or older | $229 | $442 |
| Couple | $354 | $666 |
| Parent/child | $354 | $666 |
| Individual senior, age 62 or older | $90 | $155 |
Use the full fee schedule for family, caregiver and other options. For budgeting, keep these past-season figures separate from the amount on a future membership offer. The category that fits your household matters just as much as the headline price.
Can I visit without a membership?
The town’s guest-pass program includes two options. In 2026, a guest arriving with a member paid $12 per person, age 3 and older; a non-member visiting without a member paid $45 per person, age 3 and older. The member had to be present when a member’s guest arrived.
Those 2026 passes expired on September 7, 2026. They cannot be carried over to next summer. Check the next season’s guest page for sale dates, prices and conditions before purchasing.
A guest pass can make sense for an occasional visit, but it does not put you on the membership waitlist. If your goal is a season membership, complete the waitlist step separately.
Where is Memorial Pool, and what is there?
Westfield Memorial Pool and Aquatic Complex is at 713 Cumberland Street, Westfield, NJ. The town’s facility description lists a main pool, competitive lap pool, diving pool, slides, children’s pools, splash pad, picnic space and a playground for pool patrons.
When planning a visit with young children, check the pool rules as well as the hours. Different swimming areas have different requirements. The FAQ covers swim diapers, permitted flotation equipment and the slide height requirement.
What should I do now for summer 2027?
If you’re a prospective member, confirm your household’s waitlist registration and save the record. If you’re a returning member, watch for your renewal instructions. In either case, revisit the official pool pages when the 2027 schedule and fees are released, and check separately for swim-lesson registration.
